Dialectic

Dialectic is the tension created between two interacting forces, elements or ideas. It is also a debate intended to resolve a conflict between two apparently contradictory ideas.

This work, titled Dialectic, is situated between a rock outcropping and a man-made staircase and embodies the tension or debate between the separation of nature and human. Its form and material references aspects of both nature and architecture. It is distinct, yet connected. Human-made, yet rock-like.
