1:2:3:5:8 is a set of four rammed earth blocks whose dimensions and arrangement are taken from the Fibonacci Series of numbers. I draw attention to the many geometric patterns and relationships found in nature and question the commonly held notion of organic form as rounded and irregular.

In this work I also explored the transformative power of nature and the never ending cycling of earth to rock and back again to earth. I used soil excavated from the site to create rock-like blocks that, when left to weather naturally, cracked, crumbled and returned to the soil from which they were constructed. Photo-documentation tracks this process.
